Though she didn’t learn to sew until 19, her sketchbook always held the blueprint of what would become Raiment. Her pieces are wearable statements of self-expression, power, and pride.

I didn’t learn to sew until I was 19. But long before that, I was sketching outfits in the margins of notebooks—quietly building the wardrobe I didn’t see in stores. Drawing became my escape, my outlet, and eventually, my calling.

Raiment didn’t start in a studio. It started in a sketchbook—in the margins of notebooks and on scraps of paper during moments when creativity called louder than anything else.

Before Keisha ever held fabric in her hands, she held a vision: clothes that spoke to identity, history, and confidence. Raised by a family of women who expressed

power through presence, she grew up knowing the importance of dressing with intention—even if she didn’t always see herself reflected in what was offered by mainstream fashion.

At 19, she finally learned to sew. But it wasn’t until years later—in 2020, in the middle of personal shifts and global uncertainty—that she chose to bet on herself. Going back to fashion school wasn’t easy. It meant long weekends, full plates, and moments of doubt. But through every pattern drafted, every stitch learned, something bigger was being built: belief.

That belief turned into Raiment.

Raiment is a reflection of Keisha’s evolution as a designer and woman. It’s built on lessons from generations past and shaped by the voices of women who lead with grace, edge, and authenticity. It’s about fashion with depth—pieces that feel personal, empowering, and rooted in culture.

This isn’t just a brand. It’s a movement stitched together by resilience, vision, and a refusal to settle.
